DissertationThe research paper on your study is the core paper for the Master's dissertation. This core paper should be expanded and elaborated on in an additional research paper, an extended discussion, or by a review paper. The dissertation is a homogeneous piece of work that contains an introduction and an epilogue.
Once your dissertation has been finished you are invited to defend the dissertation to the Board of Directors. The candidates give a short presentation on their paper and the results, and are questioned by the Board members. Both the written dissertation and the oral defense will be graded by a committee of Board members.
An important requirement for graduation is that at least one part of the dissertation must be successfully submitted for publication in an indexed scientific journal. The paper is considered to be successfully submitted if:
- The paper has been published;
- The paper has been accepted for publication;
